    A song by someone you share a birthday with- Dominoes by Syd Barrett… January 6th Happy Birthday to me & Syd… Syd Barrett was a founding member of the Pink Floyd, he was their vocalist, guitarist and songwriter… but disappeared after their second album due to drugs and mental health issues… He recorded two brilliant solo albums in rapid succession shortly thereafter and then disappeared from public life forever, living a reclusive life in Cambridge England… Pink Floyd’s song Shine On You Crazy Diamond is about him…

    Song by a Musician with a disability- Hey Little Bird by The Barbarians… The Barbarians were a Massachusetts band formed in’64 active until around ’67, their drummer Victor “Mouldy” Moulton had lost his left hand in an explosion as a young teen. He had a prosthetic hook hand that he adapted to be able to hold a drumstick… It was a great drummer despite his disability. The Barbarians are remembered as one of the original great “Garage” bands…
