A chaotic sounding song that you love – there are a lot of chaotic sounding songs that I love… Throbbing Gristle, Capt. Beefheart, John Zorn’s Naked City, Chthonic, Pere Ubu, Decrepit Birth, & so many more… But my choice is Murder Mystery by The Velvet Underground, one of their strangest songs, that at first listen is very chaotic, disorienting and almost nonsensical… But, if you are so inclined, after numerous analytical listens (playing with extensive right/left Balance adjustments are necessary, headphones are very helpful)…it is really a very odd literate piece of avant-garde poetry about themes of dichotomy, crumbling society, decay, degredation, death, rot, perversion, destruction & murder…Enjoy!
Con’t. FYI- 999 are from London… In England, 999 is the emergency phone number (like 911 in the US). One of their early singles was even named “Emergency”, that’s where their name comes from… NOT 666 upside down, as some have theorized.

A song from an album whose artwork you like- Since childhood, I’ve been a big fan of the classic Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, and it’s incredible cover artist Basil Gogos! Basil Gogos ventured into the world of rock album cover art, and one brilliant example is the cover of The Misfits lp American Psycho… This song, Dig Up Her Bones, is from that lp…
A song that makes you feel warm and cozy – well, I have to admit I do get a certain sense of warm & cozy from songs like School’s Out, Personality Crisis, Blitzkrieg Bop, etc… But in a more traditional and conventional sense of Warm & Cozy, I pick Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks

A song about cheating- Well, the song that immediately comes to mind is Your Cheatin Heart by Hank Williams, possibly the most famous song about cheating… Famously covered by Jerry Lee Lewis and about a hundred others… The version I’m choosing is by Buddy Ebsen, yes that Buddy Ebsen: Jed Clampett, Barnaby Jones, sings Your Cheatin Heart, here it is, enjoy!
